NY Homeowners Sue Lehman Subsidiary

The U.S. Treasury’s Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) isn’t proceeding smoothly. HousingWire.com reports that four New York homeowners are suing a Lehman Brothers subsidiary, Aurora Loan Services, for not providing an opportunity for a loan modification.
Aurora’s behavior makes me wonder if government programs for homeowners are just public relations ploys. Maybe the HAMP program should be renamed HAMPER. Homeowners are certainly being hampered. Read the full article about the lawsuit against Aurora…
